Danfoss, a global engineering company with about 24,000 employees and a real estate footprint of 300+ locations (16.1 million sq ft), needed better transparency and control over its worldwide property portfolio to support its “One Company – One Way” strategy. With more than 15 different account systems and decentralized responsibility for real estate data, Danfoss lacked a single, reliable repository for master data and clear insight into space-related costs.

Danfoss implemented Planon Universe (upgraded to the Planon Accelerator) with local support from MCG FM to centralize master data, lease contracts and space management (including CAD integration and m2 back-charging). The result is a consistent global real estate repository, faster reporting, a standardized pay-per-use internal rent model, better visibility of free space, reduced footprint and supplier costs, and improved ability to monitor service providers and support sustainability and energy-reporting initiatives.
