WITTE Automotive, a global technology leader in mechatronic locking systems, needed to standardize project management across departments after unsuccessfully relying on MS Project, SharePoint and Excel. Seeking a tool that integrates with Jira and Confluence and offers realistic schedule visualization, WITTE evaluated vendors from 2017 and, after testing, selected Planforge (formerly ONEPOINT), licensing 80 manager users and 500 Jira users.
Planforge implemented a standardized PM landscape with customizable templates, a high-level Timeline for steering‑committee reporting, and a direct Jira integration that synchronizes data to eliminate duplicate entries and support task assignment. As a result, Planforge delivered portfolio transparency and comparability, unified task and schedule handling across teams, and a clear backbone for managers and employees — evidenced by the platform’s adoption across the company and streamlined reporting for up to 15 projects at a glance.
