The University of Florida sought a high-tech digital signage solution for the new William R. Hough Hall at the Warrington College of Business to create a next‑generation information source in its glass‑walled trading room and main atrium. Planar Systems’ solution included 46‑inch Clarity Matrix panels configured as a 2x3, nearly 90‑square‑foot atrium wall and a 1x4 trading‑room wall, with a 7.3 mm image gap, 700‑nit brightness, 3000:1 contrast, 4.5‑inch depth, off‑board electronics and front‑service EasyAxis mounting; the system supports DVI, VGA and RS232C inputs. The installation delivered a virtually seamless display that draws viewers to classroom presentations and live streams, reduced heat and energy use to support the college’s LEED Gold goals, and provided durable, 24x7 operation with lower total cost of ownership.
