Markíza, a leading Slovakian broadcaster, needed to modernize its news studio backdrop to improve on-camera graphics and video playback for news, weather and sports while eliminating moiré and ensuring 24/7 reliability. The station partnered with integrator Centron Slovakia as part of a studio upgrade to replace outdated screens with a high-quality LED solution.

Planar Systems supplied Leyard TVH Series fine-pitch LED video walls (TVH1.6) in three curved configurations—7.2 × 2.4 m, 4.8 × 2.4 m and 2.8 × 0.6 m—delivering a 1.6 mm pixel pitch, deep blacks, whisper-quiet operation and optional redundant power/video for continuous broadcasting. The installation produced noticeably sharper, higher-contrast imagery across news, sports and weather segments, improved on-desk signage and eliminated moiré on camera, giving Markíza a more engaging viewer experience and dependable 24-hour performance.
