A Planar Systems Case Study
The National WWII Museum wanted to employ 21st‑century technology to create immersive, educational exhibits in its US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center. To achieve high‑resolution, architecturally integrated video displays the museum selected Planar Systems’ Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall system, using 46‑ and 55‑inch Clarity Matrix panels specified by Solomon Group.
Planar Systems installed three Clarity Matrix video walls — an 8x8 array of 64 MX46HD‑L panels (partitioned into four 1920×1080 quadrants for nearly 4K imagery) and two 4x4 arrays of MX55HD‑L panels running a custom interactive exhibit. The slim (<4 in.) panels and Planar’s EasyAxis Mounting System halved installation time versus other options, simplified flawless alignment and front‑service maintenance (no full wall shutdown), lowered installation and maintenance costs, and included rapid replacement support from Planar Systems.
