SporTV, Brazil’s premier sports channel in the Globo/Globosat group, needed a modern, high-impact studio buildout ahead of major events such as the 2018 Winter Olympics and the FIFA World Cup. The channel’s challenge was to create a 360º, on-camera environment with ultra-high-resolution, low-profile LED walls that could withstand live broadcasts, fit a tight studio footprint, and deliver reliable performance. Planar Systems (a Leyard company) provided the Leyard TVF Series fine-pitch LED video walls for the installation.

Planar Systems installed two Leyard TVF Series TVF1.5 video walls — a 9.72 m × 3.40 m display (6146 × 2160) and a 5.47 m × 1.70 m display (3456 × 1080) — delivering 1.5 mm pixel pitch, front serviceability, stackable 16:9 cabinets, a sub-3″ profile, and signal/power redundancy. The solution produced Brazil’s largest LED panel video wall for a TV network, enabled the exposed 360º studio and robot-camera workflow, and delivered clear, quiet, and reliable 4K-capable imagery for live broadcasts watched by millions.
