RTL Télé Letzebuerg, Luxembourg’s main television channel, needed broadcast‑grade on‑camera backdrops for its new RTL City news studios that would avoid moiré and reflections, reproduce accurate color and deep blacks, and conform to curved set elements. To meet these requirements they worked with Planar Systems, specifying Leyard TVH Series fine‑pitch LED video walls for the studio environment.

Planar Systems supplied Leyard TVH Series 1.6 mm LED video walls (installed by SIGHT), including a 12.8 × 1.8 m main wall and a 2.0 × 1.2 m secondary wall; the system delivers a total resolution of 7680 × 1080 (enabling up to four Full HD inputs), a matte‑black mask and high refresh rate to prevent moiré and reduce studio lighting reflections, and 19″ cabinets that allowed seamless installation along sharp curves. The result was a unique, studio‑grade backdrop in Europe with improved contrast, color accuracy, stable on‑air playback and reliable performance for daily broadcasts.
