RTL Nederland needed a high-resolution, on-set video wall for its new RTL Z studios that could sit close to presenters, work in a tight studio footprint, and be camera-friendly. Planar Systems supplied the Leyard TVH Series (Leyard TVH1.6) fine-pitch LED solution to meet those requirements, making RTL Nederland the first Dutch station to install a fine-pitch on-set LED screen.

Planar Systems’ Leyard TVH Series was installed as a 96‑cabinet LED video wall (cabinet size 400 × 300 mm) delivering 1.6 mm pixel pitch and 1080p resolution, with a slim 93 mm depth and fanless, low-noise operation. The left panel measures 3.2 × 1.8 m and the right curved section 6.4 × 0.9 m; driven by dual HD‑SDI, the display provided uniform color/brightness, deep blacks, fast uptime, and on-camera image quality—enabling quicker deployment, lower operational noise, and the high-quality visuals RTL Nederland required.
