RTBF, the national television and radio public broadcaster for French‑speaking Belgium, needed to modernize its Brussels TV news studio to replace aging plasma and projector screens and improve on‑camera presentation and graphics. In 2018 RTBF engaged AV Group to implement a display upgrade using Leyard and Planar Systems technology, including Planar VM Series displays and Leyard TVH Series fine‑pitch LED walls.

Planar Systems supplied 50 Planar VM Series ultra‑narrow bezel LCDs integrated in 17 configurations and, alongside two Leyard TVH Series 1.6 mm LED video walls (4.4 × 2.1 m and 2.8 × 2.1 m), delivered a larger digital canvas and higher-quality visuals for broadcasts. The new solution improved visual fidelity through the broadcast camera and enabled RTBF to present investigative reports with clearer images and graphics, giving producers a more versatile, modern on‑air set.
