Protec European Events, part of global event and staging company Protec, needed lightweight, flexible displays that could be mounted on robotic arms to create dynamic, motion-driven exhibitions. To solve this challenge they worked with Planar Systems and selected Leyard CarbonLight CLI Series LED video wall displays to provide the thin, low-weight panels required for robotic integration.

Planar Systems supplied two Leyard CarbonLight CLI Series modules (CLI2.6 and CLI3.9) with high-strength carbon-fiber construction, enabling Protec to mount displays on robots without exceeding weight limits. The implementation allowed a larger, more complex moving installation—the first show of its kind in the UK—added interactive elements and greater floor-space flexibility, and earned strong praise from Protec for both performance and vendor support.
