Planar Video Wall Puts the Focus on Luxury for Diamond and Fine Jewelry Store

Tapper’s Diamonds & Fine Jewelry, a family-owned retailer in the Detroit area, wanted to elevate the luxury in-store experience at its Somerset (Troy, MI) location while showcasing fine jewelry with accurate lighting and high-detail imagery. Working with retail architects and integrator Bluewater Technologies, Tapper’s faced the challenge of creating an elegant, art-like display that wouldn’t introduce distracting light on the merchandise or require costly construction changes. Planar Systems’ Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System (LX55HDU) was chosen to meet those needs.

Planar Systems’ Clarity Matrix was installed in a 3x3 configuration with the Planar EasyAxis mounting and off-board electronics, allowing a near-seamless appearance, precise alignment, and no power needs behind the wall. The result: noticeably sharper, more flexible in-store advertising and “incredible” product detail on-screen, an attention-grabbing display that has brought increased foot traffic into the store, and construction savings by avoiding routed power and reducing on-wall weight and heat.
