Planar Displays Support Leading University’s Marketing, Recruiting and Branding Goals

The University of Oregon transformed its new Hatfield‑Dowlin football complex into a world‑class recruiting, marketing and branding environment and needed integrated digital displays that would deliver a dramatic architectural focal point and support player development and recruitment. Working with architect Firm151 and A/V integrator CompView, the university selected Planar Systems to supply a range of displays — most notably the Clarity Matrix video wall system plus Planar UltraLux, PS‑Series, EP‑Series and PXL monitors — to fulfill its digital information strategy.

Planar Systems delivered a 64‑panel Clarity Matrix MX55HD video wall tiled into a 35‑foot L‑shaped lobby canvas (over 132 million pixels, 800 nits, 3500:1 contrast) with EasyAxis™ mounting for near‑seamless (<3.8 mm) front access, and deployed more than 60 additional Planar displays throughout the facility. The installation created an awe‑inspiring visual centerpiece that strengthens branding and recruiting — “help[ing] us in recruiting top performers,” per the University of Oregon — while providing measurable technical benefits (high brightness/contrast, energy‑saving design and reduced heat) and a durable, long‑term return on investment.
