North Carolina State University Library needed an eye-catching, durable interactive platform in the James B. Hunt Library’s Emerging Issues Commons to engage citizens in public-policy development and present real-time, high-resolution data. To meet requirements for a curved installation, robust multi-touch interaction, and a long signal run, the library worked with Planar Systems to deploy the Clarity Matrix Video Wall.

Planar Systems installed a nearly 130-square-foot, seven-wide-by-two-high (7 x 2) array of 14 Clarity Matrix MX55HD displays with ERO optically-bonded glass and custom touch functionality, and supplied cabling for a nearly 350-foot run without extenders. The Connections Wall has driven visitor engagement—recording tens of thousands of touches in the first six months—while delivering high brightness, slim mounting, simplified installation and lower ongoing maintenance costs.
