Nike Soho, a 55,000-square-foot, five-story technology‑infused flagship in downtown New York, set out to reimagine the consumer retail experience by tightly linking Nike’s digital and physical platforms across running, soccer and basketball trial zones. To achieve immersive customer engagement, Nike Soho partnered with Planar Systems to deploy large-scale video wall technology throughout the store, including Clarity Matrix LCD video walls, Clarity Matrix MultiTouch displays, a Planar DirectLight LED video wall, and the Clarity VCS video wall processor.
Planar Systems installed ultra‑narrow‑bezel Clarity Matrix walls (800 nits, Full HD) and interactive Clarity Matrix MultiTouch screens with 32 touch points and Planar ERO™ (delivering four times greater ruggedness and >300% improved perceived contrast), plus a prominent DirectLight LED wall at the entrance driven by Clarity VCS for simplified management. The solution created high‑definition, multi‑user interactive experiences—surrounding customers with iconic NYC courts and simulated running routes—raising visual impact at the entry, enhancing in‑store product trials, and helping Nike Soho realize its experimental retail concept.
