Nashville Public Library - Customer Case Study

Nashville Public Library’s new Southeast Branch wanted a striking digital platform to celebrate the neighborhood’s cultural diversity and draw the community into the space. To achieve this, the library partnered with artist Susan Hulme and Anode, Inc., and selected Planar Systems’ Planar® Mosaic™ Architectural Video Wall (Planar Mosaic) to create the “Sharing the Moon” installation.

Planar Systems supplied an assemblage of nine Planar Mosaic video tiles interspersed with 43 backlit LED boxes across a 37-foot wall, using 46‑inch (AD46‑Pablo) and 22‑inch (AD22‑Salvador) tiles; the system can display 4K (3840 x 2160) content at up to 700 nits, uses off‑board rack power and the Mosaic Mount for faster, lower‑cost installation, and supports redundant power for 24x7 operation. The Planar Systems installation has increased visibility from inside and outside the branch, draws visitors into the library, showcases rotating text and 4K artwork that reflects the community, and reduced installation complexity and cost thanks to lightweight tiles and simple mounting.
