Museum Barberini - Customer Case Study

Museum Barberini, a newly restored art museum in Potsdam, needed a seamless, ultra-high-definition display solution for its multifunctional auditorium to present ultra-high-resolution scans of artwork, support lectures and screenings, and fit the museum’s strict aesthetic and energy-efficiency goals. Planar Systems supplied the solution using the Leyard TWA Series fine-pitch LED video wall (4.8 m x 2.7 m, 1.2 mm pixel pitch) to meet those visual and operational requirements.

Planar Systems’ Leyard TWA installation—installed by Amptown System Company—delivers Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) imagery with deep blacks and high contrast for faithful art reproduction, while the modular plug-in design simplifies maintenance during limited museum hours. The display also reduced energy use by about 35% compared to conventional LED video walls and provided reliable large-format viewing from near and far, enabling the museum to expand programming and improve visitor engagement.
