Mentor Graphics built the Mentor Automotive Lab in Novi, Michigan to better showcase its automotive systems and software, but needed an immersive, high-resolution demonstration environment to engage clients and support collaborative presentations. For this, Mentor worked with Planar Systems, deploying Planar’s Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System, Planar UltraRes Touch 4K displays and Planar PS Series screens as the visual centerpiece for the facility.

Planar Systems installed two 46" Clarity Matrix video walls and Planar PS signage at the entry, four 84" Planar UltraRes Touch 4K multi-touch displays (32 touch points with ERO bonded glass) in the demo room, and an 82" PS behind a custom cockpit, with remote power/processing housed 100 feet away for seamless integration. The solution delivered interactive, multi-user 4K presentations, the ability to run multiple windows and media simultaneously, and greater flexibility and client engagement for Mentor Graphics’ demos and events.
