Medgar Evers College, a senior college of The City University of New York serving roughly 7,000 students in central Brooklyn, needed a modern digital-signage solution in its new Welcome Center to showcase the college, support recruitment and connect with the community. The college engaged Planar Systems to provide a Clarity Matrix Video Wall as the focal point for communicating campus activities, history and opportunities.

Planar Systems installed a nearly 120-square-foot 4x4 Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall (55" MX55HDS) visible through the Welcome Center’s floor-to-ceiling glass, delivering 1920 x 1080 resolution, up to 800 nits brightness, a 5.5 mm bezel gap and under four inches installed depth for a seamless, architecture-integrated look. The Clarity Matrix solution supports rotating images, full-motion video, social feeds and future advertising revenue, operates 24/7 with front-access serviceability, and has become a key communications and recruitment tool that increases visibility and creates a new outreach and monetization platform for the college.
