Lyon Video, a Columbus, OH mobile broadcast production company, needed high‑quality, space‑efficient displays for its production trucks to deliver bright, true‑color images and support multi‑image monitoring for live‑to‑air and live‑to‑tape workflows. To meet those needs, Lyon Video selected Planar Systems’ Planar ep55L 55" edge‑lit LED LCD displays for its newest truck, Lyon 12.

Planar Systems supplied and installed eight Planar ep55L units in a 4×2 edge‑to‑edge configuration (about 80 sq ft), delivering full HD at 120Hz, up to 100 simultaneous image views, a slim <2" profile and broad connectivity. The edge‑lit LED design uses up to 50% less power than CCFL, improves viewing angles and durability for road use, and produced noticeably brighter, crisper images that impressed producers and generated new business opportunities.
