Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport - Customer Case Study

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport sought to modernize how it informs, entertains and delivers retail advertising to travelers. Planar Systems, working with partners such as Clear Channel, was selected to supply digital signage hardware — notably Planar UltraLux Series large-format LCDs and Planar PS‑Series displays — to support airport advertising and the ClearVision in‑airport television network.

Planar Systems installed nearly 50 displays at MSY: about 20 Planar UltraLux 70" and 80" units in concourses and baggage claim for retail ads and roughly 25 46" Planar PS‑Series panels at gates and in freestanding mounts to run ClearVision’s 18‑hour daily lineup from 140+ content providers. The rollout delivered ADA‑friendly, brighter 24x7 signage with optically bonded ERO protection, faster/cheaper installation and stronger ad impact, improving passenger information, entertainment and promotion of airport concessions.
