Litgrid AB, Lithuania’s national electricity transmission system operator, needed a more reliable, high‑visibility monitoring platform to manage domestic flows and integrate with the European grid. Their previous system required two control centers and lacked the detailed, 24/7 imagery operators needed. To address this, Litgrid selected Planar Systems’ Clarity LED3 Series rear‑projection video wall for its Vilnius control center.

Planar Systems, with integrator ELSIS TS, installed 36 Clarity LED3 Series (c67RP‑LED3) modules in a 12×3 configuration (nearly 550 sq ft), delivering 800‑nit brightness from a 1200‑lumen engine, a 60,000‑hour lifetime, and up to 80% better nits-per-watt efficiency. The solution’s Auto Color & Brightness, Display Profiles and content zoning improved situational awareness and reliability; as a measurable impact, Litgrid can now control the entire national power system from one center instead of two, reducing costs and improving operational efficiency.
