Leyard Provides LED Video Walls for NBC Olympics for Production of 2018 Winter Games
NBC Olympics, a division of the NBC Sports Group, needed high‑resolution on‑camera backdrops for its primetime coverage of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Games. To meet that challenge, NBC Olympics selected Planar Systems to supply fine‑pitch LED video walls, deploying Leyard TWS Series displays to deliver broadcast‑quality, on‑set imagery.
Planar Systems installed three Leyard TWS Series video walls in the International Broadcast Center: a 43′×13′ wall comprised of 196 modules, a 16′×8′ wall of 36 modules, and three 4′×7′ walls in the athlete interview area. The Planar Systems solution provided ultra‑fine‑pitch, versatile backdrops that enhanced the visual impact of NBC Olympics’ primetime studio while meeting strict on‑camera clarity and production requirements.
