Jones Apparel Group - Customer Case Study

Jones Apparel Group, a leading global retail fashion company, needed a premier digital signage solution to showcase more than 40 lifestyle brands and create a fashion‑show "runway" experience for designers and executives. To meet this challenge, Jones turned to Planar Systems and specified the Planar Clarity™ Matrix LCD Video Wall System for its Midtown Manhattan corporate offices so designers could preview how merchandise would appear in stores.

Planar Systems’ Clarity Matrix was installed in a 2x2 configuration by integrator Video Visions, delivering an almost seamless more‑than‑235‑square‑foot canvas (3.7 mm bezel gap) with 700 nits brightness, 1366×768 resolution, 3,000:1 contrast and 50,000‑hour backlight life. The result is a striking, serviceable centerpiece that creates the desired runway effect—allowing designers to evaluate merchandising in realistic detail, enhancing brand presentations and reinforcing Jones’s merchandising strategy while also opening new business opportunities for the integrator.
