Huntsville international Airport - Customer Case Study

Huntsville International Airport, which serves more than one million passengers a year and is undergoing $92 million in capital improvements, needed a high-impact digital signage solution in a new baggage claim to display flight information, community messaging and advertising. The airport selected Planar Systems’ Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System (including the EasyAxis Mounting System and off-board electronics) to provide a cutting-edge, durable visual platform.

Planar Systems installed two Clarity Matrix walls—a 7x3 array for arrivals/departures and community content and a 5x5 array dedicated to advertising—mounted about 25 feet above the floor for legibility up to 75 feet. The deployment improved content flexibility and image clarity, simplified installation and servicing, enabled third‑party ad revenue, and is expected to deliver top performance and a long service life (about 10 years), measurably enhancing the airport’s passenger experience and revenue potential.
