Hotel deLuxe, a Provenance Hotels property in Portland, Oregon, wanted a way to showcase its Golden Era art-deco style while creating a distinctive guest experience through digital signage. To achieve that blend of historic design and modern technology, the hotel chose Planar Systems’ Clarity™ Matrix LCD Video Wall System for a prominent black-and-white portrait installation in its lobby.

Planar Systems supplied and supported an eight‑by‑twelve‑foot video wall built from commercial 46" Clarity Matrix panels (4.5" depth, 7.3 mm pixel gap) with Planar’s EasyAxis mounting and Big Picture Plus processor, plus remote power supplies and network/RS‑232 control. Since installation in early 2010 the Planar Systems wall has run reliably 16 hours a day, seven days a week, displaying a 400‑image library with virtually no maintenance (no bulbs) and improved serviceability and image scaling across the full display.
