Guinness World Records Museum - Customer Case Study

The Guinness World Records Museum on Hollywood Boulevard needed a bold way to draw visitors into its entry-level exhibits and create an interactive, memorable experience. To meet that challenge the museum selected Planar Systems' Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System (with the EasyAxis™ Mounting System) to display realistic virtual avatars and public-driven content while withstanding Los Angeles heat and long operating hours.

Planar Systems — installed by integrator Electrosonic in June 2010 — deployed a 4x3 Clarity Matrix wall with a 7.3 mm pixel-to-pixel gap and under 5" mounting depth; the public-interactive content is driven from street level and continually changes to attract passersby. The solution delivers 700 nits brightness, 3000:1 contrast and 16.7 million colors for vibrant imagery, while the EasyAxis design enables fast serviceability and reliable operation, increasing visitor engagement and foot-traffic to the museum.
