FedEx Field, the nearly 92,000‑seat home of the Washington Redskins, needed a reliable way to manage and monitor HD video and audio feeds for in‑stadium displays and broadcast partners from its control center. Facing high ambient light from a large control‑room window, strict picture‑quality requirements and limited wall depth, the venue engaged Planar Systems to provide a Planar Clarity Matrix LCD video wall to centralize and control all stadium video.

Planar Systems supplied a six‑display Clarity Matrix in a 3×2 array (specified and installed by Communications Engineering, Inc.), delivering 700 nits brightness, 300:1 contrast, 1366×768 resolution per panel, a 178° viewing angle, a 3.7mm bezel gap and under‑5‑inch mounting depth. The video wall gave operators a virtually seamless, high‑quality view to stage, schedule, distribute and monitor live camera feeds, broadcast truck inputs and promotional content, ensuring clear visibility in bright conditions and reliable delivery of video and audio throughout the stadium since the 2010 preseason.
