Eurotunnel - Customer Case Study

Eurotunnel, which operates the 50 km Channel Tunnel between the UK and France, faced escalating security and migrant intrusion challenges at its Coquelles terminal. Planar Systems supplied a Leyard TWA Series LED video wall as a core component of Eurotunnel’s new Security Control Centre to strengthen perimeter surveillance and situational awareness.

Planar Systems installed a 20 sqm Leyard TWA Series video wall (1.8 mm pixel pitch, 7x3 configuration) in the “Fortress Coquelles” control room, enabling operators to monitor 650 hectares, 30 km of high-security fencing, 570 static and mobile cameras and 9 km of infrared barriers in real time. Built for 24x7 operation with redundant video and power, the Planar Systems solution optimized Eurotunnel’s surveillance network, improved response times and materially increased the site’s ability to detect and prevent illegal intrusions.
