Dufry, the Swiss travel retailer operating nearly 2,200 duty‑free and duty‑paid shops worldwide, wanted to modernize airport storefronts in Brazil and better target arriving travelers to boost in‑store sales. Partnering with Planar Systems, Dufry piloted a “living façade” using Leyard LED Video Walls (including a Leyard 4mm LED video wall) to create bright, dynamic digital signage on store façades and capture traveler attention.

Planar Systems installed Leyard LED video walls at Terminal 2 in Rio de Janeiro and rolled the solution out to seven airport locations across Brazil, using six months of flight‑level customer data to deliver targeted, flight‑specific content and curved installations for maximum visibility. The campaign produced a measurable increase in retail sales for featured products, drove expansion to additional stores, and prompted Dufry to pursue further Leyard LED deployments under its “New Generation Stores” program.
