David Zwirner commissioned digital works by artist Diana Thater for the 2013 Armory Show and needed a gallery-quality display solution that could reproduce painterly color and saturation, fit unconventional concave and convex wall geometries, and offer long-term reliability for both commercial and residential buyers. He worked with Planar Systems, which supplied its Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall system (46-inch MX46HD-L models) to meet those needs.

Planar Systems delivered three Clarity Matrix 3x3 video walls — including two unique corner-wrapping configurations — with integration support from Video Visions, enabling near-seamless imagery (5.5 mm bezel), high image quality (up to 700 nits, 3500:1 contrast, 1920×1080) and engineered reliability (off-board components, redundant systems, ~50,000-hour backlight life). The immersive installations captured audience attention and had immediate commercial impact: all three works and their Clarity Matrix video walls sold at the Armory Show, including sales to international buyers.
