Clayco, Inc., a nearly 30-year-old commercial design and construction firm with projects in 43 states and three countries, needed a reliable visualization and project-management tool to keep multidisciplinary teams aligned and projects on time and on budget. To meet that challenge Clayco deployed Planar Systems’ Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System in its Chicago “Think Tank,” selecting Planar’s Clarity Matrix LX46 panels to support real-time collaboration, video conferencing and multi-source feeds for complex construction projects.

Planar Systems’ solution—nine Clarity Matrix LX46 displays in a 3×3 configuration on the EasyAxis mounting system—was delivered as a complete package that cut installation time by about half and provided a high-quality, serviceable wall (450-nit brightness, 4500:1 contrast, 6.7 mm tiled bezel, <4" mounting depth). The video wall enables simultaneous jobsite camera feeds, project drawings and conferencing, speeding decision-making, keeping projects on schedule and reducing service time/cost by allowing off-board electronics to be serviced remotely—delivering measurable operational and time-savings benefits for Clayco.
