Clarity Matrix Video Wall Delivers Wow Factor to the University and Cost-Benefits to the Systems Integrator

The University of Nevada upgraded the Student Recreation and Wellness Center cardio area to better engage students and replace older, harder-to-maintain displays. To deliver a high-impact, reliable solution that could show multiple HD feeds and operate continuously, the customer selected Planar Systems’ Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System (LX55HDS).

Planar Systems installed a six-wide by two-high (6x2) Clarity Matrix video wall (12 displays total) with 3.7mm tiled bezels, 800-nit brightness, 3500:1 contrast and 1920x1080 resolution, using the Planar EasyAxis mounting and a distributed design with remote power/controllers. The result is a near-seamless, high‑quality display that shows 12 HD feeds (or a four-panel large-format feed), is faster and less costly to install (no outlets behind each panel), easier to service and expand without new electrical infrastructure, and delivers the visibility and “wow” factor the University wanted.
