Children's Museum of Denver - Customer Case Study

Children's Museum of Denver wanted an engaging, family-focused centerpiece to welcome visitors as part of a major expansion. To create a playful, low‑maintenance interactive exhibit that would display guest photos across many screens, the Museum and integrator Logic Integration selected Planar Systems equipment—specifically 46" Planar Simplicity Series SL4650 LED‑lit LCD displays—to meet the reliability and continuous‑use requirements.

Planar Systems supplied 30 LED‑lit displays for a 20' tall "Community Tree" canopy (plus a 31st Planar display at the photo kiosk), integrated via Mac minis and an IP network so photos are captured and cycled across the canopy in roughly ten seconds. The Planar Simplicity Series panels, rated for 24x7 operation, provided the dependable, low‑servicing performance the Museum needed; the result is a highly popular, fast‑moving exhibit that draws lines, encourages social sharing, and gives staff easy browser‑based control—measurable highlights: 30 canopy displays, one trunk display, 46" SL4650 panels, and ~10‑second image cycle.
