The Chicago Cubs opened an 8,400-square-foot flagship retail store at the Park at Wrigley to meet surging post‑World Series merchandise demand and to create a more engaging fan experience. Planar Systems supplied high-performance digital signage and interactive displays — including a Clarity Matrix MX55HDX 4x4 video wall, Planar UltraRes Series 86" and 75" 4K displays, and a Planar LA Series 22" touch screen — to deliver ultra‑thin bezels, bright imagery and touchscreen interactivity for the new store.

Planar Systems’ solution placed a 4x4 Clarity Matrix video wall on a radius wall over the staircase, deployed UltraRes 86" 4K for an augmented‑reality photo booth and a 75" UltraRes for in‑store signage, with a 22" LA Series kiosk for photo delivery. The installation team helped overcome tight timelines and a difficult mounting location, producing near‑seamless 1.7 mm tiled bezels and 800‑nit brightness; the AR booth processed over 2,400 images in its first week and is tracking to send more than 20,000 photos this season, while the video wall reliably draws crowds during game showings.
