Carnival Cruise Line renovated the Liberty Fun Ship to add an EA Sports–themed Sports Bar and needed a centerpiece video wall that would deliver an immersive, high‑definition sports and gaming experience while fitting a curved mounting surface, minimizing supporting-structure weight, operating reliably 24/7 in a sea‑going environment, and being installed quickly within the bar’s tight 10‑day build window. Planar Systems was selected to meet these requirements with its Clarity Matrix video wall technology.

Planar Systems supplied a curved eight-by-two (8 x 2) array of 46‑inch Clarity Matrix LCD panels (16 panels total), whose thin bezels, lightweight construction and off‑board electronics allowed precise alignment, reduced support‑structure costs, and improved reliability. The wall was up and running in three days, delivering virtually seamless, life‑like HD imagery day or night for live broadcasts and gaming, providing the guest experience Carnival wanted and earning Planar Systems continued support roles for future EA Sports bars.
