Canal+Group, a subscription television provider headquartered in Issy‑les‑Moulineaux, France and broadcasting to more than 40 countries, needed to modernize its news studio sets and support high‑definition, flexible on‑air visual content. In 2012 Canal+Group selected Planar Systems to deliver video wall technology, deploying Planar’s Clarity Matrix family and Planar EP Series displays for use on news sets.

Planar Systems installed arrays of Clarity Matrix (MX46/MX55/G3) and Planar EP Series panels positioned behind anchors to carry live and pre‑programmed video and graphics. The solution modernized Canal+Group’s broadcast look, improved its ability to present HD content and visual storytelling in studio productions, and delivered a reliable, flexible backdrop that has been used across Canal+Group’s news programs since deployment.
