Baker Center, a four-building commercial office and retail complex in downtown Minneapolis, faced a major vacancy after a long-term tenant left and leadership opted to renovate and reintroduce the property as multi-tenant office space. Seeking a lobby focal point that would serve as a public digital art canvas rather than a traditional advertising billboard, the Baker Center partnered with Planar Systems and integrator Spye to deploy a high-impact video wall solution.

Planar Systems provided a 60-foot-long by 7-foot-high Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System (15 x 3 configuration using 45 Clarity Matrix LX55HDU 55" displays with Planar ERO protection), paired with custom content such as Spye’s “Faces.” The installation enhanced lobby aesthetics and retail planning, enabled ongoing community programming with local arts organizations, created event-space and revenue opportunities, and materially boosted leasing interest—Baker Center reports a sharp increase in tenant inquiries since the renovation.
