Wecasa, a leading French marketplace for wellness and care services, sought to measure and manage its carbon footprint to support its commitment to sustainable operations. The company partnered with vendor Plan A to leverage its carbon accounting software and comprehensive methodology, with a specific challenge of addressing emissions from its large network of independent professionals, a significant part of its Scope 3 impact.

Plan A provided its all-in-one Sustainability Platform to calculate Wecasa's corporate carbon footprint, placing a specific focus on the commuting emissions of its business users. This data-driven solution, combined with decarbonisation workshops for the executive team, enabled Wecasa to implement a robust sustainability strategy. The results showed that Wecasa's direct emissions were already best-in-class at 4.66t CO2e in 2022. With Plan A's tools, Wecasa is now empowered to optimize data collection, invest in carbon removal, and develop new platform functionalities to reduce its professionals' travel distances.
