Ribera Salud, a leading healthcare group in Spain, faced the challenge of automating and improving the generation of patient discharge reports for cataract surgeries. Plain Concepts implemented a solution called ALEX, built using Azure OpenAI Service and other Azure cloud resources. The system used dynamic retrieval of validated reports and advanced prompt engineering to generate high-quality, understandable discharge documents. The results were highly successful, with 96% of the generated reports being of excellent quality and requiring no modification, significantly optimizing processes and saving doctors time while securely protecting patient data.
