KWS scales Beetrometer globally with Plain Concepts and 1M monitored data points

KWS, a leading global seed supplier, faced a challenge in digitizing its agricultural processes. Their innovative Beetrometer system for analyzing sugar beet quality operated in remote rural areas with limited or no mobile connectivity and in harsh conditions. Plain Concepts was tasked with developing a solution to establish reliable bi-directional connectivity for this device to send data to the cloud and receive configuration files.

Plain Concepts implemented a solution using Azure IoT Hub and Azure Functions to create a data infrastructure. This enabled near real-time data analysis, anomaly detection, and the visualization of metrics through a custom web application. The results provided KWS with a scalable system for global projects, efficient data extraction, and more attractive data visualizations, ultimately optimizing their harvest analysis process.
