How Plaid Transactions is feeding a new generation of financial health

Financial Gym, a New York City–based, fitness-themed financial advisory company, relied on its Training Zone to analyze clients’ spending but faced jumbled or missing transactions, poor categorization, and an outdated interface that made clients hesitant to link accounts. To fix this, Financial Gym partnered with Plaid and adopted Plaid Transactions to modernize the data feed and improve the user experience.

Plaid integrated Plaid Transactions to deliver real-time, contextual transaction and balance data with tagging by geolocation, merchant, and category—boosting accuracy to about 90% (versus 10% previously). That change cut trainers’ quarterly-prep time from three hours to 30 minutes, increased successful account linking and client trust, and freed developer resources so Financial Gym can scale and pursue opening three to five new locations.
