Surrey Schools - Customer Case Study

Surrey Schools, the largest school district in British Columbia serving over 72,000 students, needed a reliable way to consult parents and residents within specific catchment areas — first to renew its social media policy and then to engage on district programs and capital planning. To meet this challenge the district engaged PlaceSpeak and used PlaceSpeak’s online engagement platform to reach a geographically verified audience and gather defensible feedback.

PlaceSpeak’s platform enabled Surrey Schools to collect catchment-specific, geo-verified input and facilitate two-way communication with the community. Early consultations saw measurable impact: the 2014 consultation connected 90 participants with 62 comments, and a 2015 follow-up more than doubled engagement to 238 verified participants and 181 comments; Surrey Schools continues to leverage PlaceSpeak to grow its verified user base and inform decision-making.
