Musqueam Indian Band - Customer Case Study

The Musqueam Indian Band sought to redevelop Block F, a 22-acre parcel in the University Endowment Lands, to introduce a broader mix of residential, commercial, and public spaces and to enhance the neighbourhood. To ensure meaningful public involvement at every stage of planning, the Musqueam invited feedback through PlaceSpeak and a series of community consultation events.

PlaceSpeak provided an online civic engagement platform—combining discussion forums, surveys, and an events calendar—to gather public input that directly informed the Block F vision and its rezoning application. The outreach generated 3,866 unique views, 136 connected participants, 42 survey responses and 62 comments, and PlaceSpeak’s engagement tools played a significant role in shaping the redevelopment proposal.
