Case Study: Integrity BC achieves stronger citizen engagement and democratic reform ideas with PlaceSpeak

Integrity BC, a non‑partisan organization dedicated to restoring trust between citizens and elected officials, set out to reimagine British Columbia’s electoral system and increase public engagement around government announcements. To achieve this, Integrity BC used the PlaceSpeak platform to solicit input, host discussions, and facilitate public interventions in political processes.

Using PlaceSpeak’s engagement tools—polls, discussion forums and resource uploads—Integrity BC collected ideas and feedback that helped inform democratic reform conversations and raised participant understanding of legislative processes. PlaceSpeak-enabled activity produced measurable results: 1,637 unique views, 126 connected participants, 156 comments and 112 poll responses, with participants reporting deeper engagement in debates and reform ideas.
