Case Study: Integrity BC achieves stronger citizen engagement on BC electoral reform with PlaceSpeak

Integrity BC, a non-partisan organization focused on restoring trust between citizens and elected officials, sought to develop new ideas for British Columbia’s electoral system and better engage citizens around political processes and government announcements. To address this challenge, Integrity BC used PlaceSpeak’s civic engagement platform to solicit informed public input and facilitate structured discussion.

Using PlaceSpeak, Integrity BC deployed polls and discussion forums on topics such as mandatory voting, party leadership, voter engagement, electoral districts and democracy, and uploaded background materials to inform participants. The initiative generated 1,637 unique views, 126 connected participants, 156 comments and 112 poll responses, giving Integrity BC measurable feedback to inform reforms and increasing public understanding of legislative processes through PlaceSpeak.
