Case Study: Dockside Green achieves a community-informed neighbourhood plan with PlaceSpeak

Dockside Green - Customer Case Study

Dockside Green, a neighbourhood redevelopment project in Victoria, BC, needed to re-engage the City of Victoria and local citizens to ensure the site remained relevant, vibrant and enduring. To support this community consultation, PlaceSpeak provided an online consultation platform to host the Dockside Green Community Conversations during May–September 2014.

PlaceSpeak’s platform offered an online survey, discussion forum, resource centre and events calendar so residents could view project details, comment on specifics and start conversations. Input gathered via PlaceSpeak helped identify emerging ideas that were incorporated into the draft Dockside Green Neighbourhood Plan, and the topic page recorded 1,108 unique page views and 75 comment views.
