Urban Outfitters, the youth-focused retail brand, needed to bridge the gap between in-app behavior and real-world actions to make outreach more relevant. To do this they partnered with PlaceIQ (integrated with Appboy) to add location-based audience and behavioral insights to their mobile messaging strategy.
PlaceIQ supplied dynamic, location-based audience filters and real-world behavior data that Appboy used for targeted push notifications, deep linking, conversion tracking, emoji messaging, and A/B message testing. By using PlaceIQ’s insights to target users (for example, women who frequent nightlife venues), Urban Outfitters saw a 75% increase in conversions and a 146% increase in average revenue per recipient.
