Fortune 500 Financial Services Company needed a way to discover sensitive data across its AWS environment and protect it with masking after column-based discovery tools failed to return required results. The organization required robust PII discovery and masking across Snowflake, EMR, EBS, AWS S3, ThoughSpot, Dremio, and multiple RDS databases (MS SQL, Postgres, DynamoDB), plus ServiceNow, and selected PKWARE’s PK Protect to address these needs.

PKWARE implemented PK Protect to scan AWS RDS databases (in migration from on-premises), all cloud databases in place, and JSON files stored in S3. PK Protect delivered the required sensitive-data findings with minimized false data—even when using custom expressions—and enabled the customer to move toward masking and remediation of sensitive files and databases.
