ARI Fleet (ARI) faced the challenge of protecting sensitive data spread across three large Oracle databases while applying highly specific masking rules that off-the-shelf tools did not support. PKWARE was engaged to provide its data discovery and custom data masking solution and Professional Services to identify sensitive fields and deliver the bespoke masking behavior ARI required.

PKWARE performed data discovery (identifying over 8,000 candidate columns across the three databases), built custom PL/SQL masking functions and Python-based task generation, and automated execution via PKWARE tooling and scripts. The implementation was completed in about two months, delivered consistent, synchronized masking across all three databases, and integrated into ARI’s operations—saving ARI development effort, reducing cost and deployment time compared with in-house or competing options while ensuring ongoing, automated protection of sensitive data.
