A PKA Technologies Case Study
Passaic County Community College (PCCC), a two-year higher education institution serving about 13,000 students across four locations, needed a better way to manage more than 2,000 scattered desktops. To reduce the burden of desk-side support and improve maintainability, PCCC turned to PKA Technologies and HPE to build a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment.
PKA Technologies helped PCCC design and implement the solution using two HPE servers, 100TB of 3PAR storage, a network upgrade, and thin clients. The move to desktop virtualization centralized support in the data center, reduced maintenance, and improved data protection by backing up every user desktop as part of standard data center processes. PCCC reported that support became more efficient and seamless, with PKA providing responsive expertise throughout the project.
